Saturday 16 May – Spring Work Day 10am to 2pm
It’s your opportunity to review the site, meet with other Allotment Holders and help us tidy up the site at the start of the season.
The day will involve:
Cutting verges around the site and pruning trees that have got out of hand, especially those that shade plots and encroach allotments. `
If your plot has an encroachment problem, let us know and we’ll try address it on that day.
Running the woodchipper – it can shred branches up to 4cm in diameter.
Planting summer, bulbs across the site. If you have any favourites you like to see, please message the Committee and we will see what we can do to meet your requests.
Refreshments and equipment will be available in the large hut.
The site is located less than one mile from Luton town centre and consists of 69 terraced allotments including an orchard with heritage apple and pear varieties.

Situated on the slopes of the Chiltern Hills, the site has stunning panoramic views over Luton.

The Stockingstone Road Allotment Association was formed in 2015 but the site itself has been a part of the local community for many years and plays an important part in enhancing and protecting this urban green space.
